It is a hot August 13, 1982 in Komoka, Ontario, and CN 2035 (MLW C630m) and its train sit under a partly cloudy sky.

Checked my notes for this day and although I didn't see this train, No.75 has a very rare combination of VIA FP9A 6530 and CN "Tempo" RS-18 3152 ! also No.72 had VIA FPA-4 6773 and FPB-4 6863.

So much to love about this shot. The big MLW in great sun, of course, but also the various vehicles, the consist with a few oddballs (BCOL?, lumber car), and the track in the lower right foreground heading somewhere. For someone like myself who's unfamiliar with the area, the layout is intriguing. What lines are leading where, and from where?

Something happened at Komoka in the 1990's, was it where a Via LRC tail ended a freight, or was it a freight train collision?
