New angles in Beaconsfield
Author: Mberry

As KG posted recently (https://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?15,4294703,4294808#msg-4294808), a lot of trees and brush have been cleared between CP's Vaudreuil Sub and CN's Kingston Sub in Beaconsfield, Qc. My wife was visting friends in that neighbourhood on both Sunday and Monday, so I went off to the overpass to check out the new angles.

1&2-From this past Sunday morning, loaded ethanol train CP 650 is seen approaching the overpass in the first shot and then passing Beaconsfield station in the second shot. In the second shot 650 is lined on the north track and an eastbound AMT train is lined on the south track.

3-From Monday afternoon, a VIA westbound passes the overpass. Shooting a VIA or CN train from the CP side would not have been an option just recently!

4-AMT 62 passes the overpass.

5-A very short (212 axles) CP 143 roars by with CP 8503 and UP 5464 for power. Both these shots from Monday afternoon.

It's getting like the old days!

What's unbelievable in that photo is the lack of growth between the CP tracks and the road at left, compared to now.
