This Is the First and Last of a Neat 6 Photo Sequence

Roger Puta shot these in March 1980. Anybody recognize the location? The numbers of the signals are 268311 through 268314. Thanks.

I don't recognize it, but a little bit of detective work with a current timetable and Google Earth tells me that this is likely just east of Port Hope, Ontario, although the siding and crossovers are no longer there. However, one of those church steeples is still there, and can be seen on Google Street View.

BTW, the signal numbers are 2683T1 through 4, indicating the track number at mileage (roughly) 268.3 (of the Kingston Sub).

Still neat to see those Turbo Trains. They're well before my time, and pictures seem to be relatively rare (probably because they kept catching on fire and being withdrawn from service).

Roger had a great eye for the "scene" while your processing the original image makes the photo even better.

Thanks. I just hit a trove of Roger's Turbo Train slides!

The location was called COPORT (COburg-PORT hope).
