Shooting in Port Hope, ON
Author: BobE

I last shot there in 1992. I remember being on the VIA platform and to the east, CN and CP have bridges. Hike to the bridges or can they be shot from the VIA platform? Since my mobility is impaired, a hike isn't really what I'm looking for. Maybe there's driveway/parking lot where I could take the truck?

Go to Brand Road off lakeshore road and park right at the tracks, they are about 100' apart at that point and it is right at the West Switch of CP's Port Hope siding

There is a parking lot at the station, though not very big. You could park here:
https://www.google.ca/maps/@43.9443192,-78.2978332,3a,75y,90t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1sc8ii8j9qWVN3YRu0tzJWOg!2e0!6s%2F%2Fgeo2.ggpht.com%2Fcbk%3Fpanoid%3Dc8ii8j9qWVN3YRu0tzJWOg%26output%3Dthumbnail%26cb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile.gps%26thumb%3D2%26w%3D203%26h%3D100%26yaw%3D257.8597%26pitch%3D0%26thumbfov%3D100!7i13312!8i6656

But there are now a lot of scrub trees obscuring the CP from the parking lot.

I think access at Brand Road is gated now, but probably not locked. I'd recommend Dickinson Road, two wooden bridges about 250 yds apart. Or a bit farther west at Lovekin (wooden bridge and adjacent grade crossing.
