A pair of trains out of Southwark Yard
Author: Mberry

Traffic heading west out of Southwark Yard in St-Lambert, Qc (on the South Shore of Montreal) usually goes on CN 527 to Taschereau Yard in Montreal (then a connecting train to Toronto) or on CN X321 to Toronto, an as-needed train that probably runs 4-5 times a week. I happened to shoot both of these trains under 10 minutes apart near MP 6 of CN's Montreal Sub yesterday afternoon. CN 527 would have left Southwark Yard much earlier than CN X321 though, as it worked Pointe St-Charles Yard after leaving Southwark Yard.

1-A pair of SD70M-2's (CN 8898 & CN 8006) lead CN 527 on the freight track, with the soon to be replaced Turcot interchange in the background.

2-CN 2959 is leading CN X321 (with CN 2945 trailing) as it heads west on the south track with 104 cars, it will also pick up 32 more cars at Coteau. The lead unit is one of 25 ES44AC's (CN 2951-2975) built by GE in 2015 that are restricted to Canada-only service, as they are not subject to specific EPA emissions rules.
