Scotian Sunday
Author: ghCBNS

Here's the westbound Scotian at Levis in July 1972. The Scotian was the running-mate of the Ocean Limited between Halifax and Montreal....and operated about 6 to 7 hours later.

Levis is a mile across the St. Lawrence River from Quebec City and connected by ferry.

And continuing through that box of slides.....here's a couple of shots I took earlier that morning at Riviere-du-Loup.

Two C&O Business Cars on the Scotian with C&O Chairman Cyrus Eaton returning to Cleveland from his home in Nova Scotia. The Scotian had picked up these cars at Oxford Jct NS the previous evening.

Taking the company's office cars to your summer home in the Maritimes . . . that's a nice perk!

Those curved roof, 6-wheel trucked, paired windowed coaches always intrigued me and their resemblance to Pullman-Standard Worcester-built "American Flyer" coaches in the States.

Neat stuff! Sure enjoyed my ride on the Scotian in October 1977!
