Canadian Railroads > CP around Dorval, 1987Date: 09/14/17 11:15 CP around Dorval, 1987 Author: thebluecomet Spent a few days around Montreal back in October 1987. Aside from shooting the F's in commuter service and the busier CN side, CP would throw a train or two through town. In this group a westbound with seven units passes the old station at sundown. October 3, 1987.

The CP Geep leads what I presume to be the Canadian on CN track with a very long train in 1979. This photo was taken by Guy Chartrand. We met somewhere along the way and traded slides for quite a while. I hate to say this, but I believe he passed away some time ago. As we all know, the grubbier the day, the more interesting things you will see. Flying white flags as an extra, one of only two GP30's built in Canada and wearing fresh paint heads west. Originally numbered 8200 as built. I understand this unit has been preserved out in Alberta. October 4, 1987.
