Still some Track on PEI
Author: ghCBNS

Elmira was the end of track of the abandoned since 1989 railway at the NE tip of Prince Edward Island. The old station is now the PEI Railway Museum and a short section of track and wye are still in place for ‘Speeder’ rides.

Nearly the entire old 400km + right-of-way is still intact as the Confederation Trail walking/biking trail.

That's interesting! I knew about the museum and rolling stock at Kensington, but this is news to me. Always nice to see original track left in place.

I've walked the right of way from Fredericton, PEI to Hunter River and biked from Hunter River to almost Charlottetown. One of my great regrets is never having photographed the railway on PEI. What a wonderful sight trains on the Island must have been.
