October 18, 2007, a few images at the Prince George diesel shop. Sadly these units were stored as dead or need repairs and sadly not likely to return to service.

Looks like the switchers have 'Remote Control' radio equipment on the cab roof, I'm thinking of the fad for the controls being with the crew on the ground with no one in the engine during operations.

Interesting detail photos of the highly modified switchers as well. There's quite a few hobbyists who have built or are in the process of building models of these locomotives.

A lot of the units were setup for "beltpack" operations. Also it was a good set of yard units when coupled with a slug, lots of pulling power. Doug
