Canadian Railroads > MLW Monday - C-630M plus GP30 on the Ottawa WayfreightDate: 03/12/18 19:40 MLW Monday - C-630M plus GP30 on the Ottawa Wayfreight Author: feclark Continuing from the last several MLW Mondays, and the subject of six-axle power on #85, the Montreal to Ottawa wayfreight via the north shore/Lachute Sub, this is just a lucky day, November 11, 1976, with C-630M 4502 and GP30 5001, both sporting 5" stripes (8" was still in the future), coming through Vincent Massey Park in Ottawa, just south of the campus of Carleton University, and the Rideau River (the tail of the train is visible on the bridge in the background, just above the second box car, and you can see some of Carleton's buildings). The time is 1400.
Fred Date: 03/13/18 03:52 Re: MLW Monday - C-630M plus GP30 on the Ottawa Wayfreight Author: kgmontreal The C-630M is great. To have it paired with a GP30 is even better. Thanks for posting this.
