Golden to Revelstoke, British Columbia
Author: P

We took a day trip to Revelstoke from Invermere - not expecting it to take the whole day. Beautiful country all around us. I thought we'd take my son to the railroad museum in Revelstoke and enjoyed a very nice visit - even if we were the only 1 of 2 parties there that afternoon. It was a weekday in April - but I would hope that it is busier other times of the year.

1. Caught another grain train on the way west.

2. I missed the head-end. They move a lot faster when you are trying to get ahead of one!

3. Snowplows are always awesome.

4. As far as I'm concerned, SD40-2's are always awesome as well, but my son is a little more awesome and he dominates this shot!

That is a great museum to visit. The unit is not an SD40-2 but rather the first Canadian SD40. As an aside, Bowser has advertised that they will do this unit and a donation will be made to the museum to assist with the restoration.
