West end Kamloops lake
Author: cvrrr

Was doing some railfaning up the Fraser and Thompson river canyons June 5 and came across this lovely although somewhat weathered looking BC Rail DASH 8-40CMu Number 4605 waiting for a eastbound. The last time I was here was 10 years ago and saw another BC Rail engine at the same location. Last time though it was not a leader. In picture # 2 was the train that was eastbound with SD75I 5772 leading and ex CSX GEGX 7330 behind. I was beside Martel station on the Ascroft sub on CN when I took the shot. The train was eastbound on the CPs Thompson sub. Picture #3 has DASH 9-44CW 2407 and ES44DC 2276 in the Kamloops yard the next day. One thing about CN they sure have some variety.

Nice shots of a variety of power! In #3, 2407 is a Dash 8-40CM, not a Dash 9.
