Canadian Railroads > CN says "new operating plan"Date: 07/20/18 09:22 CN says "new operating plan" Author: tomstp You have to wonder if some EHH's only way to railroad plan is or has fallen apart. Look at what all they are doing to increase capacity and get back customers lost due to Precision Railroading.

Many railroaders here have said that half of each hiring session gets up and walks out when the alcohol and drug policy / hours expected / holidays are discussed. If CN is losing 30% of what's left by the end of the first year, they're gonna need a whole lot more people Date: 07/20/18 20:30 Re: CN says "new operating plan" Author: tomstp You would think if they are still committed to Precision railroading that actually keeps its promises that they would add a whole hell of lot double track, closer sidings, more horse power per ton, and an adequate work force.
Comments have been made about losses of new hires which are true. It is the railroad's own fault. At the first down turn of traffic they will lay off crews, park locomotives and put themselves right back in bad shape again with slightest increase in traffic. Then they will try to work with a shortage of crews running them ragged. They have done it time and time again. Interesting to note that the influx of new business happened when EHH was at the helm of CN's primary competitor, CP... |
