Canadian Railroads > MLW MondayDate: 03/17/19 22:11 MLW Monday Author: moonliter On the menu today we have...
Photo 1: CPR 6553 a S-3 built by MLW in 1956. The location is Swift Current SK, the date is October 1st, 1977. Photo 2: On the way west I took the long route Ottawa, Montréal, Senneterre, Cochrane Hearst, Nakina & Winnipeg. This required an overnight stay in Cochrane where I was free to wander both the CN and the ONR's facilities. RS-10 1401 (MLW 1955) is about to leave the shop and do some switching in yard. Cochrane, ON September 19th, 1977. Photo 3: Rapido No.39 cools its heels waiting for local train No.38. It is Labour Day weekend, perhaps the end of summer traffic slowed things down for the local. In a perfect world, the local should been waiting for No.39 to blast through Casselman, but today it's train No.39's turn to wait. Each train has a FPA-4 on the point. Casselman, ON September 4th, 1977. Gerry Gaugl Ottawa ON Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/18/19 07:18 by moonliter. Date: 03/18/19 07:04 Re: MLW Monday Author: refarkas Excellent photos. My favorite is number three.
Bob Date: 03/18/19 13:41 Re: MLW Monday Author: feclark Lovely trio, Gerry. In the last shot, I guess the message is to lift the flanger blades, and keep 'em up for quite a while. That's a stack of warning tags on the post.
