Bayview just after sunup today
Author: tq-07fan

My dad and I came up to Ontario yesterday. Saw lots of trains and lots of buses. The neat thing is I we are at the City View Inn which is less then ten minute walk from Bayview Jct. I woke up early enough this morning to get the GO Transit train that originates in Niagara Falls as it came through Bayview. There is one other train that comes from West Harbour GO Station before this one but the sun would not quite be up.
1-3) GO Train 1954 from Niagara Falls about 6:45 am this morning.

I stayed for one of four from Hamilton and the battery died so I had to go back and get another. The sun went behind clouds but Bayview is still peaceful in the morning.
4) GO 1856 coming under Plains Rd
5) GO 1858 coming under the footbridge at Bayview.
6) Almost missed it VIA Rail Train 71 the first train from Toronto.

Thank you for looking!

Jim

A littlle after I posted this we saw this before we went into Hamilton and onto Brantford, Cambridge, Kitchner and Guelph. I'll have to post some from the ION Light Rail project testing in Kitchner later on.

Very nice! That GO train from Niagara Falls is huge - is there a locomotive on the rear pushing as well?

12 cars is standard. These days if there's a second locomotive it would be on the east end.
The most common reason for a second locomotive would be if the unit had recently been
delivered or returned to service...to guard against failures.

When a HEP I coach is used, how do they handle the seat number assignments given those cars are different inside ?
