Canadian Railroads > GO'ing to AuroraDate: 06/13/19 00:43 GO'ing to Aurora Author: ghCBNS The Newmarket Subdivision (former Northern Railway/Grand Trunk/CN) was used by VIA’s Canadian until the mid ‘90s when the portion between Barrie and Longford (south of Washago) was abandoned. Today GO Transit operates from Union Station in Toronto as far a Barrie (Allandale Waterfront) 64 miles....with additional daytime runs to Aurora, 30 miles out and an easy two hour roundtrip.
