Canadian Railroads > CP SD9043 rebuilds out???

Does anyone know when Progress rail will deliver the first SD9043?

SD70ACU ?

I have seen photos of CP SD70ACU 7001 and 7002. I think there are a few more complete but they are waiting for a handful to get done for shipping. Maybe sending 6-8 at a time or something. They should get dropped in Fulton, KY for the CN to pick them up and go to Chicago through places like Effingham, Champaign, Kankakee, Chicago areas I would think. None on the road yet as of now.

No wonder PROGRESS RAIL lose so much business to WABTEC/GE, they are so at turning out locomotives, new or rebuilt.

they are buiding new tier 4 for CSX rebuilds for UP ,CP , NS is getting sd70ace and SD70ACU how is that slow!
 

When were the SD90 cores shipped to Progress?

God is it UGLY.

Well...I thought they would look a little different from that but the paint scheme is what really sucks! I've never been a fan of a red scheme (other than Santa Fe) and I wish CP would have kept the white stripes and multi-mark!

Better than only GEs! Thanks for posting pictures!

Kinda weirded out by them choosing to move the nose lettering down from what it was on the SD90MAC-H II's but aside from that it looks gorgeous! Can't wait to see it on the road.

Maybe it's just me, but seeing these brutes roam the rails again is awesome. EMD pushed the envelope with the sd80mac and sd90mac programs. These could've been turned into razor blades, but with the help of some truly talented individuals + updated technology, they get a new lease at life.

I think it looks good. Yes something else to look at besides wide nosed GE's.

Because it doesn't match his view of the industry.

Are these the units that the original paint faded to a hedeous pink, got stored and some returned to service when CP was short on units? Yes, something else to see pulling or pushing then BIG RED BARNS!

Needs Maroon and Grey......
