Riding the Canyons in Style
Author: cp1400

Its been may years since CN ran a dedicated business train on the main lines west of Kamloops through the Thompson and Fraser Canyons. Most times in recent years business train equipment arrived in Thornton Yard, near Vancouver, on an intermodal train and assembled for a trip up BC Rail to Whistler and beyond. The last time I photographed a dedicated CN business train in the Fraser Canyon was 2004. Back then it was more like a circus train with a modern but not too pleasing choice of colours. Since this event has been relatively rare out west I made a big effort to photograph this in as many iconic places as possible.
