Canadian Railroads > Churchill Train #1Date: 08/06/19 14:31 Churchill Train #1 Author: CNStratford Since there seems to be some interest in the Churchill Train, I am going to post some pictures.
Picture 1 - VIA 693 waits just east of Winnipeg Station as a container train rolls by. Picture taken from Winnipeg Railway Museum. Picture 2 - On the Rivers sub between Winnipeg and Portage la Prairie - really the only high speed running on the trip. Picture from Park Car. Picture 3 - VIA 693 near Portage la Praiie. It had only a counter diner, two coaches, and two E Class sleepers. Time have obviously changed for the better.

I think that's why the Skyline is there, for food service. GTD |
