Canadian Railroads > Ontario QsDate: 08/17/19 16:30 Ontario Qs Author: BobE Does Inco still have its own railway——is that what the Canadian Trackside Guide calls Diesel Electric Services or something like that?
In Sault Ste Marie, anything accessible? Algoma Steel, Huron Central, CN? TIA BobE Posted from iPhone Date: 08/17/19 16:44 Re: Ontario Qs Author: algoma11 Hi Bob:
Inco still has its own railway. No longer electric though. Units are largely rebuilt GP35's to GP38 standards. Diesel Electric Services is a full service loco repair and rebuild business, working out of the old CPR car shop downtown. The Huron Central can be seen at the station in town. CN is pretty much inaccessable. Mike Bannon St Catharines, ON Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 08/17/19 16:46 by algoma11. |
