Canadian Railroads > 3 from long agoDate: 08/29/19 07:04 3 from long ago Author: hoggerdoug Three "Kodak Instamatic Moments" from June or July 1973. I was a brakeman on a work train and we were heading north, took some shots of the tunnel at mile 598.5 on the BC Rail Chetwynd subdivision. I was told that in the past the portals had a curtain closing them off, and a watchman would check for ice in the tunnel, then open the curtain for approaching trains.
