GO train -- solid new lime paint consist
Author: WP17

I've been in Toronto for a few days documenting the last days of the TTC CLRVs and spending quality time on Bathurst bridge. This morning I was able to capture a GO train with all 10 cars in the new lime paint -- this seemed to be a very rare occurrence given the mixture of liveries in all of the other trains I saw over the past few days.

And as a bonus, note the number on the unit 666 so a subtitle could be:
The (GO train) devil wears lime.

That go paint scheme makes me want to stay at the cottage in nova Scotia for the winter instead of returning home to ride those lime green abominations...... ugly is an under statement.....
I wonder how much this rebranding cost metrolinx.
It reminds me of the lime green popsicles we had as children.....

Is it my imagination, or is the lime on top a little darker than the band on the bottom?

"Avocado" on top (like kitchen appliances from the 1960s).

As someone who rides GO trains frequently in order to get places, as opposed to someone who considers the GO trains to be a subject for trainspotting, I am neutral regarding the colour scheme.

Folks
I didn't realize the conversation would focus on the new colors (after all they have been around for over 5 years). For the record there are two shades of green. the top band is the green used in the current GO logo and the lower band is a lighter shade which GO apprently refers to as light "apple green".

Kind of reminds me of a rolling Sobeys store.  :-)

It's been a few years since I've hung out on the Bathurst St. bridge, shooting the morning parade.  The background is changing quickly.  I suppose those searchlights will be next.

GO generally keeps one solid set of the new image together, but every time I've seen it it has been a 12-car set.
