Canadian Railroads > A tour through Taschereau Yard in 1975Date: 11/11/19 08:54 A tour through Taschereau Yard in 1975 Author: briancdn I got a tour through CN's Montreal yard in July 1975 thanks to a good friend who worked for CN. It was a fast tour, so I grabbed as many roster photos as I could. Not the best weather; but as access to the yard was difficult to come by; I was eternally grateful for the opportunity!
1) A C-630m leads a freight past an S-13 2) An FPA-4 in the sevice bay 3) C-424's were not as common on CN as on CP, and I never got a lot of shots of them in service. Here in 1975 they were stored serviceable, but did return to service.
5) A GP38-2 in its original scheme. 6) A pair of C424's on the ready track Date: 11/11/19 09:03 Re: A tour through Taschereau Yard in 1975 Author: briancdn 7) Always a treat to get a B unit by itself. Here an FPB-4 has its steam generator tested
8) Hump power; S-13's and slugs 9) A rare M-420TR fresh from MLW awaiting delivery. 1800 HP lettered on the cab. R&S operated a pair in Canada. Lot of HP for an end cab unit. A lot of grab shots from the car; not the best way to railfan but hey; never to be done again. Brian N.
