F unit Friday N&W
Author: hoggerdoug

Kodak Instamatic moments from June 1971 at Canfield Junction in southern Ontario. N&W west bound trains on the CN Cayuga sub at the diamond of the CN Dunnville sub and parallel to the NYC / PC CASO sub. It was a great place for train watching and a variety of railroads.
images:
CF 1  N&W 3658 westward to St. Thomas ON, I recall this was train #91
CF 2 & 3 another day at Canfield and N&W 3657 heading west and throttle up at the diamond.

Yes, good Instamatic photos.  It's where I learned to hold the camera steady!

Would those be the only GMD F-units that were built with Mars lights (former Wabash lines in Canada)?

Sadly everything is gone but at one time you'd think you were in the States: N&W (Wabash) on CN and C&O on the New York Central....and a parade of passenger trains with Lightning Strip NYC E's rolling between Detroit-Buffalo & New York City.

Your instamatic photos captured some great scenes.  Most especially like Photo 1.
Thanks for your photo posting.
