As a follow on to the recent posts on the Windsor & Hantsport RS-23s......

Lets go back to better times in 2002 and a W&H Sunday Excursion to the Grand Pre National Historic Site and Deportation Cross commemorating the Expulsion of the Acadians starting in 1755. (some eventually made their way to Louisiana (today’s Cajuns)

After dropping us in Grand Pre.....the train continued onto Wolfville and then New Minas, Nova Scotia.....returning with a couple of hoppers tacked onto the front it had picked up there.

We were now an Excursion 'Mixed Train' returning to Windsor. The hoppers.... minus the passenger cars would continue onto Windsor Jct and the CN connection.
