MLW Monday 29 years ago OTD 3/30/91

On 3/30/91 a few of us spent the day in the Toronto,ON. area hoping to catch some MLW action on both the CN and CP.  We started at Canadian Pacific's Agincourt Yard and Shops in Toronto. This place was always full of locomotives and we got our share of MLWs mixed with GMDs. We then headed east to Port Hope,ON. where the CN and CP lines parallel each other along the north shore of Lake Ontario. We lucked out with a CN westbound that was powered by a trio of HR616s along with a GTW GP38-2. That's the CP line over on the left side of the shot. These bridges spanned a small lakefront valley and crossed the Ganaraska River.

Next shot of a westbound VIA LRC on the CN at Port Hope. Next westbound on the CP at Port Hope turned out to be a trio of M636s. We chased this guy back west and the last shot is at the west end of Agincourt Yard in Toronto. It had been a good day !

A first-class set of photos. Photo three with the HR616's on the bridge is my favorite.
