Happy Canada Day/Dominion Day

Happy Canada Day/Dominion Day to all you Canadians!

Just over a year ago, I was in Toronto.  During that visit, I stopped in Roundhouse Park where I enjoyed viewing the exhibits in the former John Street Roundhouse and the rolling stock displayed outside such as this beautiful Canadian National Railways caboose.

Looks like that would have been the place to visit while in Toronto. There's been some interesting posts with before and after photos.

July 1st is 'Memorial Day' in Newfoundland & Labrador in recognition of the battle at Beaumont-Hamel during the First World War.

Dominion Day (Canada Day) wouldn't have been celebrated in Newfoundland until 1949 when they became part of Canada.

Yes, I am opposed to renaming holidays. So it is Dominion Day for my family.
