Canadian Railroads > More MLW MondayDate: 09/21/20 06:21 More MLW Monday Author: cn6218 At 16:20 on May 5, 2004 the Windsor & Hanstport wayfreight was heading west with a short train in Falmouth, NS. Although the RS-23s always ran elephant style on the gypsum trains, it was unusual to see them arranged that way for the freight. Apparently the front mounted radiators on the little MLWs were not as effective if they trailed, and this made a difference for the loaded gypsum trains (empties ran cab first), but the wayfreight to New Minas was never so heavily loaded that it mattered.
