UP 1982 "MP Heritage" visits Ontario
Author: CCMF

CP 244 came out of Chicago last night with UP 1982 as sole power.  This morning CP 7038 was added at Windsor, ON to satisfy collective agreement requirements.  This usual routine is upsetting to some but I really like it because it gives context to the photo.  Without the add-on leader it could be a UP train in Missouri or Iowa, but in reality here it is just east of Thamesford, Ontario on CP's Galt Subdivision.

Nice subject, nice shot. An unobstructed view of the railhead from that distance? Wow; looks like heaven.

CP down here is in great shape Fred.  The "agent orange" train does a fantastic job.
