Prince Philip – The Mural at Brockville Station

The Mural at Brockville's VIA Station commemorating the Royal Visit in 1951

Oct 12 - dep Ottawa Union Station after midnight......with stops at Cornwall, Brockville: 10:05am – 10:25am.....then Kingston, Belleville, Trenton and Toronto. The Royal Train also slowed passing Iroquois, Cardinal and Prescott.

Look behind him and you see a circus car so I guess the circus was in town too.

The full mural depicts other events at the old station through the years including the arrival of the circus train.

Didn't the Queen and the Duke tour Cabada on a special train?  I'd be interested in knowing the consist of that train!

They've made several trips by train. CBC just noted the Duke had been in Canada over 70 times.

The mural was on the side of the old station. Several years ago I was afraid that it might disappear when the station was rebuilt, but was pleased to see it became a free-standing mural.
