May 12, 2006 at Exeter BC, so much for spring and summer.

It was a nice sunny late spring, early summer morning when we left Williams Lake for our job at Exeter (100 Mile House, BC) on the former BC Rail. The further south we went, the weather got real nasty with heavy wet snow falling. MoW crew was on hand to clean switches. It was miserable and wet for the Conductor and Brakeman out on the ground switching. I was dry and toasty warm in the cab of a CN GP40-W.

Hard to believe it was only 15 years ago. All the crew from that day are happily retired.

Kinda what it looks like outside up here at Palmer Lake, CO, RIGHT NOW! Great bunch. Looks like that was quite the customer there. Hope CN hasn't run them out of town.

No current operations between Squamish and Williams Lake except for the shuttle out of Lillooet.
