Canadian Railroads > Lease to Own

CN has received the first 25 of 75 locomotives purchased from Citibank, and put them in service with a quick renumbering and change of reporting marks.  The first group, 3913 to 3937, are not the ones that CN leased recently, but I'm not sure exactly which group they are.

3924 and 3926 have been on the gypsum trains all this week, after coming east on a potash train to Saint John, and then making a couple trips between Moncton and Saint John on train 406.  Train 511 is shown on Monday, entering the Bedford Sub at Windsor Jct. with about 50 empty gypsum hoppers.  They're just another set of ES44ACs, but at least they have something other than black and orange paint to photograph. :-)

I was wondering what would become of these.   They were too new to be sidelined for long.   Thanks for sharing the news as I had not heard/seen about CN's purchase yet.

CN 3913-3937 are former CREX 1300 & 1400 series units. CN 3913 is ex-CREX 1317, and CN 3937 is ex-CREX 1330.
