Yahk BC, August 1977
Author: Blackfoot

When I was growing up in Saskatchewan, one of the things I could always count on was a family vacation to BC every summer.  And no matter where we camped for the night, it always seemed like we were close to the tracks.  In August of 1977, that close to the tracks place was a campground on the west side of a little town called Yahk BC.  So here's some pictures of what Yahk looked like about 44 or so years ago.

1&2 - the yard and station, looking west from Railway Avenue
3 - a pair of SD40-2's switching at the west end of the Yahk yard

Yes interesting photos, my first photo trip  to BC was around 1979 and into this area around 1985. Interesting to see what I missed and by how much.
