My CPR Slides 18
Author: CNStratford

May 13 1973-For years CPR had a regular freight train from Ottawa to Smiths Falls.  The line was cut when CPR deided not to pay for a bridge over the new Highway 416.  This picture taken from the Bank Street bridge is quite interesting.  The farm in the background is now all housing.  The construction in front of the barn is the Ottawa Airport Parkway.

I love the history in this shot, also the paired 5" RS-18.

Matched sets are always nice.  Thanks for the posting.
