Good Morning:

Does CP have trackage rights or haulage rights over New Brunswick Southern to the Port of St John, NB?

Also, same question for CSXT once they compkete their acquisition of Pan Am Railway.

CP doesn't have trackage rights over the two Irving owned railroads. CP only has Haulage Rights. Pan Am interchanges with the Eastern Maine Rwy. at North Maine Jct. with CP providing haulage on EMR's behalf from Brownville Jct. to North Maine Jct. CSX intends to rebuild their trackage to connect with EMR at Mattawaumkeag. Then they will have to negotiate with Irving some kind of deal. CP has been financing repairs on Irving to up trains speeds and add trackage to the IM facility. I would think that CP has protected themselves against their adding capacity for CSX's benefit.
