On this Day, three years apart.

August 22, 2006: ALL images on the former BC Rail
WC 2002 at Lillooet BC. Not sure if this was for the yard / switcher power

TU 108 at Lillooet, one of the 2 track units used on the Koaham Shuttle trips between Lillooet and Seton Portage. I understand these track units are out of service and perhaps in storage in CN Kamloops. The hi-rail bus that replaced these is also out of service awaiting repair parts.

RMR 8013 at Williams Lake, our lead unit on the Rocky Mountaineer "Fraser Discovery"

south end of Quesnel and a "bad day for trains".  Southbound train had a "undesired emergency" resulting in a nasty stringline. Fortunately the bridge was not damaged. Photos I took, creeping by the derailment site.

Good stuff. Amazing construction along the Lake, imagine trying to do that today.

Hi Doug,
Did double stacks ever run on the line? Would they be about the same height as the Rocky gold cars?
Love the Photo you have and Keep them coming..
Cheers Brian

Perhaps never will see double stacks on the former BC Rail.  I don't think bridge and tunnel clearance would allow double stacks. Not sure of the height of Gold Leaf dome cars as to  a double stack. The actual heights would be interesting to know.
