Built by Pullman in September 1913 as Grand Trunk Pacific tourist sleeper 3410. Then Canadian Government Railways 1215 (as of 1915) and CGR official car 41 (as of 1916). Remained an official car after that, wearing numbers CN 55 (1919), 89 (1924), 62 (1958) and finally 15105 (as of 1978). Donated in July 1988 to the Central B.C. Railway & Forestry Museum in Prince George. (all info from Canadian Trackside Guide). Conversion to an official car happened after a fire, according to the museum's website. During the mid-1980s this car was a fixture on the southernmost track at the CN station in Vancouver (now Pacific Central), spotted close to the headhouse. It functioned as a reception car for CN officials. I recall that the lounge had depressingly modern furniture in the form of vinyl sofas and so on, not the opulence one might expect of a business car. Edited 2 time(s).
