Canadian Railroads > three from the pastDate: 01/16/23 03:46 three from the past Author: hoggerdoug January 16, 2005 working a "meet & greet" turn from Williams Lake BC to Potter siding and return on the BC Rail Lillooet sub. It was a drab snowy winter morning.
images: 4646 our lead unit, pumping air and waiting for the Conductor to walk to the head-end after making a pickup at Exeter. The moody weather and the big blue 4646 sort of make "Blue Monday" more meaningful. Our meet BCOL 4611 entering Potter siding at the south switch. We would trade of there and work our way back to Williams Lake. My view of the old water tank at Lone Butte. The tank is still there, preserved by the folks living in the area. thanks for looking. That tank is the oldest "original" structure still standing on the PGE/BC Rail. Built in 1916 so about 106 years old...
