CP Multi Marks over the Illecillewaet River
Author: Guitartrain

Canadian Pacific SD40-2s 5710 & 5709, with GP9R-1623 (all with Multi Marks), are on the point of a W/B TOFC train, crossing the Illecillewaet River. They're on CP's Mountain Sub. 7/14/86 East of Revelstoke, BC.

Interesting consist with the trailing geep, also the glacially fed river that gives it that light blue / green color.
Interesting area, known for avalanches and bears. Congrats on the spelling.

What a great shot, for many reasons. I love the progression in roof weathering on the three units, and the TOFC on CP intermodal flat is a thing long gone, now. Sigh.

What a special scene - It looks like nature's model railroad.

Fantastic stuff!  The GP9u looks fresh out rebuild, ready to go to work as a yard switcher.
