Canadian Railroads > Rescued from reject pileDate: 01/30/23 17:43 Rescued from reject pile Author: newtonville150 There are number of shots over the years that I remember taking, but for one reason or another I screwed up.
I fished this one out of the reject box this afternoon. It's from August 1984 and can't be repeated today. Two CN F-units and an SW switcher of some kind on local job K037 at Scarborough Junction. This train probably went up the Geco spur from the Kingston sub just east of Warden Ave to switch the Scarborough van plant and was returning downtown via the Geco spur's connection with the Uxbridge sub after completing it's work. This scene is completely different today. Note the CN transfer caboose at rear. The shot is badly oversharpened, but heck...F-units, two track Kingston sub, Scarborough van plant...all long gone. ...John Reay Springhill NS ![]() Date: 01/30/23 17:52 Re: Rescued from reject pile Author: refarkas Great scene - First-class save!
