Canadian Railroads > A 5700 Leading Into HalifaxDate: 03/07/23 09:16 A 5700 Leading Into Halifax Author: cn6218 It doesn't happen all that often these days, mostly because none of the SD70/75Is are equipped for distributed power, and Z120 almost always has a DPU. But this was an "extra" Q122, with just two units on the head end. 122 never has a DPU, but since it originates in Chicago, has to have a PTC leader, which the 5700s are. Warm weather in the previous days had erased any traces of snow in Halifax as Q122 crossed Moirs Mill Pond at 08:15 on February 9, 2023.
