With the Baltimore skyline looming in the distance, CP Rail C424 (DRS-24b)-4217 & SD40-5410 are leading W/B train R-403 on CSX's track one, approaching Bayard Street at CP Carroll. 4217 was built by Montreal Locomotive Works (MLW) in March of 1965; 5410 was built by the Electro Motive Division (EMD) of General Motors in June of 1971 as Quebec, North Shore & Labrador 214. Late afternoon on 10-6-91 in Baltimore, MD.
2. CP Rail MLW C424-4217 & EMD SD40-5410 are on the point of W/B train R-403. After a crew change in CSX's "A" Yard, the train is approaching Gable Avenue at the west end of Mt. Winans Yard to do some switching before heading west. Late afternoon on 10-6-91 in West Baltimore, MD. 3. In this view from the Patapsco Avenue overpass, CP Rail MLW C424-4217 & EMD SD40-5410 are backing into the west end of CSX's Mt. Winans Yard with train R-403 to make a set-out.
