Canadian Railroads > No 1Date: 08/26/23 11:50 No 1 Author: exrtc Where is No 1 (08-23)?
Chris Rye Date: 08/26/23 19:40 Re: No 1 Author: DrawingroomA VIA has been operating the Canadian between Toronto and Edmonton. Number 1 arrived in Edmonton Friday night the 25th and departed tonight, Saturday the 26th, as #2. The tracking site "tsimobile" is showing that #1 has been calling at points west of Edmonton but that is an error.
Reservia is taking bookings for Vancouver on #1 departing Toronto Sunday the 27th. There is no guarantee the train will go beyond Edmonton. There is a warning on the booking site that no alternate transportation will be provided if the trains are cancelled. Date: 08/26/23 22:38 Re: No 1 Author: railsmith DrawingroomA Wrote:

The last No. 1 to reach Vancouver was the train that departed Toronto on August 13. The last No 2 to depart Vancouver left on August 14. But even if they operated or brought out some stub cars in the VIA #1 consist to forward folks to Jasper, AB, as it's certainly one of the most popular stops on the Canadian route, and only 5 hours or so railroad west from Edmonton..........
