CN 6786 and Ontario Northland 1500 focus one's eyes on the turntable and roundhouse at CN's Spadina engine facility in Toronto on June 13, 1972.

I seem to remember reading that combined ONR and CN power was common on the overnight northern Ontario train in that era.

The ONR and CN(later VIA) operated an overnight train called the "Northland".  This train operated over the CN Toronto-North Bay, ONR North Bay-Cochrane then back on the CN  from Cochrane to Kapukasing, ON where a connecting bus continued on to Hearst, ON  (Note:the line west of Cochrane in now part of the ONR)
