Nice, before they put the chainlink fence between the two tracks. That ruined so many shots.

Fred, I'm afraid I might be losing it and I'm only 68. I don't remember a fence being installed between the tracks in Brockville.

Here's a photo I took on my 68th birthday, no fence.  VIA No.63. Brockville, ON  Jan 6th, 2023.

Your reply made me think I was losing it, so I checked. I used to get slides from Jackie McNeil as well, and I was sure there was a number of them with chain link there. I checked my F40 roster slides, and found out I was remembering correctly. In the 2003-2004 period, they had a short chain link fence separating the mains, on the south side of the 'boulevard' platform. That was about when I stopped getting slides from him, so I never saw the return to 'normal' and when that happened.

Fred is correct, thanks for jogging my memory.

When we all work together the full story comes to light.  I do remember the fence at Dorval, QC but completely forgot the one in Brockville, ON.

It's so nice to see folks working together instead of bickering.  I'm not saying Fred or Gerry are on here bickering, just a general comment.

Fine job Gents!

Goodness, Gerry, that's a beautiful shot! You can feel the damp air chilling to the bone. You should get that up there as a thread on its own, so it's not buried here.

Gerry, I agree with Fred that your photo deserves a repost of its own because so many have viewed my original post before yours was added.
