Canadian Railroads > Super Con '73!Date: 09/19/23 10:21 Super Con '73! Author: kurtarmbruster On a gray afternoon in September 1973, Dad and I embarked on the Super Continental for Montreal. CN’s finest was twenty cars of abundant head-end cars (don’t know what all they were carrying), commodious coaches, section and room sleepers, elegant dining car, rowdy coach lounge, and kerosene marker lights. Four days through forest, mountain, and muskeg, seemed like it would never end. Photo 1: Jasper; photo 2: speeding through the east slope of the Rockies; photo 3: along some lake in Quebec after splitting Toronto and Montreal sections. A grand ride!
