Canadian Railroads > Romaine River RailwayDate: 09/20/23 15:38 Romaine River Railway Author: phlone Our cruise ship paused in Havre St. Pierre QC today and was able to get a glimpse of this very obscure railway.
Observed the afternoon passenger train transporting mine workers back to town. It leaves at 1430 and gets back at 1630, basically 55 minutes each way. I’d post a picture if I could figure out how do do it on an iPhone. Posted from iPhone Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 09/20/23 15:43 by phlone. One on the passenger train and two sitting in the yard. We heard an ore train arrive or leave as we were sailing but never saw it. Rolling stock was traditional ore Jennie’s.
