CN 225 was originally Quebec Railway, Light & Power Co. #30, built in the QRL&P Limoilou Shops (information from Extra 2200 South Issue 50).

I have no idea where the photo was taken, but it's probably in the Quebec City area. CN bought this line around 1950 and ran it for a few years before shutting it down as an electric operation.

It is a very interesting and obscure image, and hopefully at some point someine can ID the location.
Stuff like the QRL&P, Montreal & Southern Counties, Grand River, L&PS,  and other electified lines in Quebec and Ontario have pretty much been off my radar.

I'd like to learn more,

I did get the old box cabs in Montreal commuter service and happened to be around the last night they ran the box cabs.
