Mile 57.3, Bedford Sub
Author: cn6218

On my trip to Truro on April 25, I ran across Z120 in North Brookfield, NS.  There is a good mid morning view looking west from the John Bell Rd. crossing at mile 57.30, with a slightly obstructed view looking east for the going-away shot.  A trio of ES44ACs, 3838, 2816 and 3949 were leading the train that day.  ET44AC 3075 was the mid-train DPU.  Z120 was on its way towards a meet with L507 at Alton, about 6 miles ahead.  507 was already tucked away in the siding waiting for them.  The RTC will generally not take a chance on delaying 120.  If there is any doubt they can't make Alton, the meet will be at Kinsac or Sandy Cove if the train will fit.  If not, they might have to wait at Windsor Jct. on the Dartmouth Sub, incurring a delay of 2 hours for the manifest train.
