I saw this earlier on Instagram and that cut off an interesting detail seen in this video. This unit still has CP reporting marks on the cab, so it looks like they are officially doing the strategy CN used for years - using the corporate scheme while retaining the old reporting marks. I expect this will be confirmed when the first KCS unit is repainted. I could see D&H and SOO rolling stock, if it's repainted retaining marks too, although they didn't appear to do this with the remaining SOO SD60s they rebuilt and renumbered from 6000s to 6200s.

So I guess CP and KCS won't be truly fallen flags after all; just basic paper railroads for their corporate parent.

Still looking forward to seeing this ultimately.

Only one DH unit remaining -- 7304, a GP38-2 assigned to Coquitlam, BC.  Wears a blue and grey heritage livery that dates back to before it was built.

This was built as a Lehigh Valley unit in Cornell red. Was repainted by D&H after it was acquired at the time of the CR merger.

What a dramatic video!  The new scheme looks a lot nicer than what was shown in last year's rendering.  Maybe the gloss of the freshly applied paint makes it look so good.

Thanks for posting.

What? Maybe the black is the same but the red is definitely different between the two RR’s.

and the white?, i almost like the all red CP scheme better, yellow a nod to KCS, and the black as well perhaps?

I’ll answer with another question:
Where does CN use yellow?

I wonder what this will look like with a few years of grime, tunnel smoke, etc on the long hood?

It is funny they just took this scheme and moved to the end and flipped it 180.
